Position: RB
Class: Freshman
Size: 6-foot-3, 225 pounds
Age: 18
High School: Joliet Catholic Academy (Shorewood, IL)
Game: Isaac is big, really big. In the history of football, few tailbacks are as big or bigger than the monster freshman who will put even more muscle on his frame in the coming years. He is cut in the mold of former Ohio State Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George (6-foot-3 and 235 lbs.). Given his size, Isaac can impose his physicality on unwilling tacklers, but tall runners always need to focus on lowering their pad level and not running too straight up and down.
Prep Career: Isaac's high school numbers, particularly as a junior, were absurd. He ran for 2,629 yards and 45 TDs in 2011, including 515 rushing yards and 6 TDs in the Class 5A state championship game. As a senior, he compiled 1,500 yards (8.7 avg.) with 22 TDs despite battling injuries.
Fall Camp: Isaac missed a chunk of practice time with an injury, but he returned late last week to lead the team in rushing in the second scrimmage. Given the depth at the position, he is a potential candidate to redshirt, but he could also carve out a role in short yardage and goal line if the Trojans need a power back.
To Quote Isaac: "The Coliseum is obviously a lot bigger than the last place I played in and just the feel and the atmosphere when you get in there, I'm excited to play games there."
