Krayzelburg is one of America's greatest backstrokers. The Fairfax High School product won three gold medals and broke two Olympic records at the Sydney Games in 2000.
Watts first displayed his blinding speed at Taft High School in Woodland Hills, where he set the city record in the 100m (10.36). At USC, he was converted into a 400m runner before setting an Olympic record en route to winning gold at Barcelona 1992.
Two volleyball players, Kim Ruddins and Ron Lang, represented USC and the USA in the Olympics after growing their roots at Westchester and Dorsey High Schools respectively. Ruddins collected a silver medal at the 1984 Olympics in her native Los Angeles.
The late George Toley won 10 national championships as the head coach of USC men's tennis. The Los Angeles High School alum was also a club pro at the Los Angeles Tennis Club for 25 years.
