For the first time since the conference expanded from 10 to 12 teams in 2011, USC's league opponents in the Pacific Northwest changed from Oregon and Washington to Oregon State and Washington State. While the Ducks' absence makes USC's schedule less daunting, the Trojans have not beaten the Beavers in Corvallis since 2004.The dreaded first Pac-12 road game of the season will be in Tempe versus the Sun Devils as it was in 2011, a game the Trojans dropped. USC could see some early season warm weather with that trip to ASU as well as three September home games and the roadie to Oahu.
Late in the season, the Trojans might want the heated benches at Notre Dame, Oregon State on a Friday night and Colorado the weekend before Thanksgiving. The annual weekender in the Bay Area is later this year with a November 9 trip to Berkeley to see the renovated Memorial Stadium.
Trojan Family Weekend is October 26 when USC hosts Utah, while Homecoming will be celebrated around the November 16 game against Stanford.
