T.J. McDonald continues to collect preseason watch list honors as the Jim Thorpe Award named him one of the best 37 returning defensive backs.

McDonald is one of only four Pac-12 players on the list.

Mark Carrier collected USC's only Thorpe Award in 1989, but Troy Polamalu (2002) and Taylor Mays (2008) were finalists. The award has been around since 1986.
