UPDATE: Matt Leinart changed his mind and will stay with the Houston Texans, according to the LA Times.
Matt Leinart's first official pass of his USC career was a 5-yard touchdown connection to Mike Williams at Auburn. In all, the lefty and his #1 target hooked up for 30 scoring throws in just two seasons together (and one famous pass from Williams-to-Leinart...video below).
While the deal has yet to be finalized, Matt Leinart is likely headed to Seattle to be reunited with former head coach Pete Carroll and top receiver Mike Williams, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. He'll have to battle Tarvaris Jackson and Charlie Whitehurst for the starting job.
NFL free agency has picked up at a frenzied pace this week and Trojans are going every which way. Three undrafted Trojans have found their first homes in the league.Â
Tuscon native C Kris O'Dowd will stay at home in Arizona. RB C.J. Gable was signed by New Orleans and LB Michael Morgan is also on his way to Seattle.
We'll keep you updated on any and all Trojans on the move.Â
