Alexis (Lexi) Nichols begins her second season running cross country at USC...Hampered by injuries throughout her freshman campaign...Competed in just one race, placing 24th with a time of 25:20 at the Pepperdine Invitational on Oct. 23...She was USC[apos]s final scorer as the seventh-place finisher for the Trojans in the 6K event.
High School:
Nichols is a 2006 graduate of Collins Hill High in Lawrenceville, Ga... She ran both cross country and track at Collins Hill with a personal-best time of 18:48 in cross country, 5:17 in the mile, 11:28 in the two-mile race and 2:23 in the 800m...Was All-State and All-County three years...Named Gwinnett Athlete of the Week twice.
