THIS SEASON: Ryan Slater is a redshirt junior in 2019 who helped USC to the 2018 Pac-12 title and is working toward another strong year as a key contributor for the Trojans.
2018: Slater saw action in six events as a 2018 redshirt sophomore, none bigger than his tie for 19th at the 2018 Pac-12 Championships, helping the Trojans to the team title. Slater finished the conference tournament at 2-under 284 (69-69-71-73) for the best finish of his season and his opening rounds marked his best 36 holes of the season … Slater, who had three rounds in the 60s on the season with a stroke average of 73.05, tied for 42nd at the Trinity Forest Invitational at 5-over 218 (72-73-73) and tied for 48th at the Saint Mary’s Invitational at 5-over 218 (77-73-68), his final round a season-best effort … His 2018 summer was topped by a 23rd at the Northern California Golf Association Amateur Stroke Play Championship at 226 (75-76-75) and a tie for 27th at the Memorial Amateur Championship at 220 (75-69-76).

2016: Slater saw action in seven events as a 2016 freshman, starting once, and finished with a 74.73 stroke average in 22 rounds, highlighted by a tie for 13th at the Southwestern Jones Invitational at par 216 (70-73-73). His lone start came at the Pac-12 Championships, where he tied for 28th at 8-over 292 (70-69-75-78), one of three top 30 results on the season. The other came in a season-opening tie for 22nd at the Husky Invitational at 7-over 235 (75-81-79).
HIGH SCHOOL: Slater prepped at Monte Vista Christian High in Gilroy, Calif. He was eighth at the 2015 CIF Central Coast Section Championship as a senior, finishing at 1-over 72. At the 2015 NCGA Junior Championship, he tied for 11th ... He played at the 2014 California State Amateur, finished fifth at the 2014 NCGA Junior Championship and fourth in the 2014 JGANC/NCGA Players Championship.
PERSONAL: He is a business administration and accounting major ... He is the son of David and Sandy Slater ... He began hitting golf balls at the age of 2.
