2020: Charlie Reiter, as a 2020 sophomore, played for the Trojans in the 2019 fall semester before transferring in the spring of 2020.
2019: Reiter earned 2019 Pac-12 All-Freshman honorable mention honors, starting in nine events. He finished the season with four rounds in the 60s and a stroke average of 73.91 … He had three rounds in the 60s and a stroke average of 71.58 in fall play. He posted a season-best tie for sixth at the Fighting Illini Invitational at 1-under 209 (72-71-66) in his first career event, was 23rd at the Nike Golf Collegiate at 4-over 214 (69-72-73) and tied for 26th at the Western Intercollegiate at 4-over 214 (75-68-71) … He started in the NCAA Championships and tied for 61st at 17-over 305 (75-77-77-76) … His results in the offseason included a tie for fifth at the SCGA Amateur Championship at 3-under 277 (69-67-68-73) and a tie for 36th at the Pacific Coast Amateur at par 284 (73-67-67-7.
HIGH SCHOOL: Reiter attended Palm Desert (Calif.) High where he was ranked No. 31 in Golfweek's world rankings, No. 19 in his graduating class and ranked No. 40 in Junior Golf Scoreboard's overall world rankings. Among his 2018 highlights was an exemption into the CareerBuilder Challenge in January, where he missed the cut after rounds of 68-70-77. He won the 2018 CIF-SCGA golf title and led Palm Desert to within a stroke of the 2018 CIF state title … He also posted a tie for third at the AJGA Las Vegas Junior and a tie for second at the AJGA ClubCorp Mission Hills Desert Junior … In November of 2017, he made the cut at the Australian Open championship and finished tied for 65th overall at 10-over 294 (75-69-75-75) … He is a 2017 U.S. Amateur and 2017 U.S. Junior Amateur qualifier whose strong 2017 also included wins at the AJGA Callaway Junior Classic and the SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup Morongo and a second at the AJGA Mission Hills Desert Junior ... He posted three big wins in 2016 at the SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup, the Aaron Baddeley International Junior and at the CIF Championships.
PERSONAL: Reiter is a communication major. His father Mike played professional golf on mini-tours and taught Charlie how to play golf at an early age. Charlie won his first event at the age of 4. By 10, he competed in the Golf Channel Amateur Tour National Championship at PGA West … Reiter’s longtime putting coach is former Trojan Dave Stockton Jr.
