The Trojan sophomores were two of nine underclassmen to earn All-West Region honors.
NORMAN, Okla. — Sophomores Jack Buchanan and Jaden Dumdumaya of the USC Men's Golf Team earned spots on the 2026 NCAA Division I PING All-West Region Teams, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Saturday, May 30.
Buchanan and Dumdumaya were two of just nine underclassmen on the 25-man team. This is the first all-region award for both players.
Helping USC to four wins and its first NCAA Championship appearance in seven years, Buchanan and Dumdumaya were consistently two of the team's leaders.
Dumdumaya enjoyed a tremendous sophomore campaign in which he was named the Big Ten Player of the Year, a Big Ten First-Team selection and won the Les Bolstad Award for the Big Ten player with the lowest stroke average. The sophomore from Benecia, Calif. leads the team with a 69.78 stroke average, plus he tied the second-lowest round in school history twice with 63s at the Trinity Forest and Valspar Collegiate Invitationals. He leads the team with nine top-25 finishes and five top-10 finishes.
Another Big Ten First Team selection, Buchanan also had a breakout sophomore campaign, highlighted by a strong month of April. The Cape Town, South Africa native picked up his first collegiate win at the Western Intercollegiate to help the Trojans earn the team title. In that tournament, he tied the lowest round in program history and the Pasatiempo Golf Course record with a 62 in the second round. Buchanan has placed in the top three or better in three of his last four tournaments. All told, Buchanan has seven top-25 finishes and four top-10 finishes this year.
All told, 150 players across six regions and 81 schools earned all-region honors.
