Koo became USC’s winningest player after her victory at the Chevron Silverado Showdown.
ROSEMONT, Ill. — For the second time this season, No. 2 USC women's golf sophomore Jasmine Koo was named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Thursday, April 9.
This is the sixth conference weekly award of Koo's career and her second of the season. Earlier this season, she earned Co-Big Ten Golfer of the Week after winning the Golfweek Red Sky Classic. So far, five different Trojans have won eight weekly conference awards, which leads the Big Ten.
Koo became USC's winningest player with her seventh tournament win at the Chevron Silverado Showdown with a 206 (-10). Entering the final day of the tournament in seventh place, Koo fired a 65 (-7) in the final round to earn her third win of the season. With the victory, she surpassed 2013 National Champion and three-time All-American Annie Park's mark of six career wins.
From here, Koo and the Trojans begin postseason play at the Big Ten Championships, held at the Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, Calif., which takes place from April 24-26. All pertinent schedule updates can be found on the women's golf team's schedule page on usctrojans.com.
