Four Trojans Earn All-MPSF Honors

LOS ANGELES – The MPSF has announced its All-Conference selections for the 2026 beach volleyball season, and four players from USC Beach Volleyball earned accolades for their performances this season.
The awards are highlighted by freshman Sarah Wood, who was named as the MPSF's Freshman of the Year while also earning All-MPSF First Team and All-Freshman Team honors. Along with that, Kennedy Coakley, Ashley Pater and Zoey Henson all earned spots on the All-MPSF First Team for the second time in their careers.
Wood earned a 27-11 record in her first season as a Trojan, playing primarily on the first and second flights. During the season, Wood received numerous accolades with Henson as they were named the Most Outstanding Pair at the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic to start the season. These two also garnered MPSF/Molten Pair of the Week and AVCA National Pair of the Week honors along the way. Overall, the Glenn Mills, Pennsylvania native finished with a record of 11-5 on court one and 15-5 on court two. She is the first USC player to be named the MPSF's Freshman of the Year.
Coakley wrapped up the regular season with an overall record of 29-10. The AVCA Player of the Year semifinalist earned a 13-9 record in the No.1 spot and a 16-1 record in the No. 2 spot, playing with Pater and Henson. The sophomore from Lutz, Florida, grabbed MPSF Pair of the Week honors with Pater after being undefeated in the MPSF Midseason Rumble. Coakley and Pater were also named to the MPSF All-Tournament team after going 4-0, guiding the Trojans to the semifinals.
Pater went 28-11 during the regular season, playing primarily on the first and second courts. The junior from Bradenton, Florida, recorded a 10-8 record in the first flight and a 17-3 record in the second flight. Pater earned MPSF Pair of the Week honors with Coakley after being undefeated in the MPSF Midseason Rumble. Pater and Coakley were also named to the MPSF All-Tournament team after going 4-0 across the tournament, beating the No. 2 pair for Cal, Stanford, GCU and Texas.
Henson ended the regular season with a 28-9 record on her way to earning All-MPSF First Team honors. The junior from Cypress, California, played in the top two flights, securing a 14-6 record in the No. 1 spot and a 14-3 record in the No. 2 spot. She received numerous accolades with Wood as they were named the Most Outstanding Pair at the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic to start the season. They also received MPSF/Molten Pair of the Week and AVCA National Pair of the Week honors along the way.
