Garrett Kaalund Receives Third Consecutive Bowerman Watch List Recognition

LOS ANGELES – The Bowerman Advisory Board announced Garrett Kaalund on their fifth release of The Bowerman Watch List for the 2026 season on Thursday. This is the third time this season that Kaalund has been featured on the list.
Garrett Kaalund opened his outdoor season at Mt. SAC Relays on April 18 with an NCAA-leading time in the men's 200m, notching a time of 20.10w on the way to a win. Additionally, Kaalund set the No. 3 time in the NCAA this season in the 100m. His time of 9.90w placed him third.
Kaalund adds the recognition to his watch list appearances from February and March. The senior now holds regional and conference accolades from the indoor season along with his two Big Ten Athlete of the Week and USATF Athlete of the Week honors this season.
Kaalund and the Trojans are back in action on Saturday and Sunday for the annual USC-UCLA dual meet hosted at Colich Throws Center and Allyson Felix Field at Katherine B. Loker Stadium. More details can be found on usctrojans.com and updates will be provided @usc_track_field on Instagram and X.
