USC Track and Field Sweeps Relays, Wins 18 Events at Trojan Invite

The Trojans opened the outdoor season on home turf
LOS ANGELES – The USC track and field team dominated the field on Saturday to close out the Ron and Sharlene Allice Trojan Invitational at Allyson Felix Field. The men and women each won nine events across the two days to open up the outdoor season.
The Women of Troy got the track events started with the world and NCAA lead in the 4x100m relay. The team of Olivia Pace, Mia Brahe-Pedersen, Madison Whyte and Brianna Selby clocked a time of 42.90, placing them at the top of the charts as the Trojans look towards NCAA regional qualifying times.
Two Trojans clocked top-10 times in program history. In her collegiate outdoor debut, Oluwatosin Awoleye ran a time of 4:21.16 in the 1500m to place first and slot in at No. 7 in the all-time list. Over at triple jump, Jada Foreman started her senior season with the No. 9 mark in USC history at 13.14m.

- The men's 4x100m relay also won to start the day. Nickolas Miller, Jaelen Knox, Jacob Andrews and Jack Stadlman ran a time of 39.89 to dominate the competition.
- Women's shot put started off the field events for the day with Ashley Erasmus in the top spot with a best throw of 17.36m.
- Along with Awoleye in the 1500m was Jacqueline Duarte, placing third in the final Trojan Invite of her collegiate career with a two-second PR. She also earned runner-up in the women's 800m with a personal best of 2:13.93.
- The Trojans swept the men's 1500m with Chase McCallum at the front in 3:59.56. Following behind him were Alfredo Reina Corona in second (4:02.39) and Gabriel Castillo in third (4:09.49).
- The Women of Troy continued their dominance into hurdles with Asjah Atkinson winning the 100m hurdles in 13.35. Anisa Bowen-Fontenot placed third in 13.79 and Lillian Harden came in right behind at 13.82.
- Four Trojans place top-five in women's long jump with Lauren Reed in third place with a mark of 6.27m. Jackson Norris started his first collegiate outdoor season with a third-place finish in 7.26m.
- In the women's 400m, Madison Mosby put on a show in her outdoor collegiate debut. Her time of 52.92 got her the win over a field of upperclassmen.
- The men continued the sweep of the 400m with Jacob Andrews winning in a time of 46.47 to start his junior season. Nickolas Miller placed third with a time of 47.03.
- Coming off her Big Ten 200m indoor title, Christine Mallard opened her outdoor season with a time of 11.38 in the 100m to win the event. Rachael Uvieghara earned second in 11.50 and Olivia Pace finished fourth in 11.59.
- In the men's 400m hurdles, Yougendy Mauricette took the win in a photo-finish time of 50.22.
- The women's 200m included three Trojans in the top four. Rachael Uvieghara placed second (23.22), Brianna Selby came in third (23.22) and Olivia Pace finished fourth (23.93).
- Jack Stadlman shocked the field in the 200m, clocking a time of 20.99 and coming within striking distance of the freshman record. Eddie Nketia and Knox completed the sweep in 21.00 and 21.19, respectively. In total, Stadlman won three events on the day (4x100, 200m, 4x400).
- Over at high jump, Elias Gerald opened his senior season with a win. He continued to raise the bar after his victory, ultimately recording a clearance of 2.16m.
- Joining Foreman on the podium at triple jump was Lauren Reed with a second-place finish at 12.81m for her best jump.
- The Trojans finished the day with a sweep of the 4x400m relays. Christine Mallard, Takiya Cenci, Mia Brahe-Pedersen and Madison Mosby won in a time of 3:36.78. On the men's side, Jacob Andrews, Yougendy Mauricette, Jaelen Knox and Jack Stadlman recorded a win in 3:08.79.
