Michal Chmielewski Named Big Ten Men’s Swimmer of the Week

LOS ANGELES – USC junior Michal Chmielewski was named the Big Ten Conference's Men's Swimmer of the Week on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
The honor marks Chmielewski's first Big Ten conference weekly award after previously earning Pac-12 weekly honors in January 2024.
Chmielewski opened the weekend as part of the 400y medley relay squad that set a new Uytengsu Aquatics Center pool record by posting a time of 3:04.04
The Warszawa, Poland, native followed that performance by setting new USC program and pool records in the 100y butterfly with a time of 45.08.
Chmielewski went a perfect four-for-four in individual events during USC's meets against No. 4 Cal and No. 9 Stanford.
