USC Football Adds 35 Players in Early Signing Period

LOS ANGELES—Thirty-five high school football players have signed with USC during the December early signing period, Trojan head coach Lincoln Riley announced.

Shahn Alston, RB – Thomas W. Harvey HS (Ohio)
Alston, a four-star recruit, is ranked as the No. 95 player in the nation by ESPN, No. 130 by Rivals and No. 171 by 247Sports. He is rated as the No. 4 player in the state of Ohio by ESPN and No. 7 by Rivals and 247Sports. He is touted as the No. 7 running back in the country by Rivals, No. 9 by ESPN and No. 12 by 247Sports. He is nationally ranked 95th on the ESPN 300, 130th on the Rivals 300 and 171st on the Top247 List. He is a 2026 Navy All-American Bowl invitee. As a senior in 2025, he tallied 172 carries for 1,548 yards (9.0 avg.) and 29 TDs. He recorded a quartet of 200-yard rushing performances. He also caught 40 passes for 489 yards (12.2 avg.) with 5 TDs and completed a 24-yard TD pass. Defensively, he added 17 tackles, including 3 for loss and 1 forced fumble. He was a finalist for the 2025 Dan Coughlin Memorial FOX8 Player of the Year. As a junior in 2024, he recorded 131 carries for 1,104 yards (8.4 avg.) and 16 TD. He also had 14 receptions for 184 yards (13.1 avg.). He was named to the 2024 Ohio High School Athletic Association Division II All-Ohio Second Team. As a sophomore in 2023, he tallied 128 carries for 1,042 yards (8.1 avg.) with 15 TDs and added 4 receptions for 82 yards (20.5 avg) and 1 TD. He also decorated his stat sheet with 33 tackles and a kickoff return TD. He was named to the 2023 Ohio High School Athletic Association All-Ohio Third Team. He was an Under Armour Next Camp: Columbus participant. As a freshman in 2022, he had 76 carries for 675 yards (8.9 avg.) and 15 TDs. He also tallied 12 receptions for 79 yards (6.6 avg.) and 1 TD. Defensively, he recorded 39 tackles, including 5 sacks, 2 INTs, and 4 forced fumbles. He was named to the 2022 Prep Redzone Next Midwest All Camp Team.
Tron Baker, WR – Sierra Canyon HS (Calif.)
Baker, a three-star recruit, is rated as the No. 43 player in the state of California Rivals, No. 51 by 247Sports and No. 59 by ESPN. He is touted as the No. 82 wide receiver in the country by Rivals, No. 92 by 247Sports and 95 by ESPN. As a senior in 2025, he transferred to Sierra Canyon High School and tallied 40 receptions for 626 yards (15.7 avg.) with 8 TDs. He was selected to the 2025 All-Mission League First Team. As a junior in 2024 for Los Alamitos HS, he recorded 54 receptions for 631 yards (11.7 avg.) and 3 TDs. He was named to the 2024 All CIF-Southern Section Division 2 Team, the 2024 Cal-Hi Sports All-State Team, the 2024 Cal-Hi Sports All-State Junior Football Team, the 2024 All-Mission League First Team. He missed his sophomore season due to a knee injury, however, he was invited to the 2023 National Preps Champion National Combine and the 2023 National Preps Champion Southern California Showcase. As a freshman in 2022, he tallied 32 receptions for 494 yards (15.4 avg.) with 5 TDs. Defensively, he had 4 tackles, 1 INT, 2 PBUs, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery. On special teams, he recorded 5 kickoff returns for 41 yards (8.2 avg.) and 5 punt returns for 10 yards (2.0 avg.).
Mark Bowman, TE – Mater Dei HS (Calif.)
Bowman, a five-star recruit, is ranked as the No. 29 player in the nation by ESPN, No. 32 by Rivals and No. 42 by 247Sports. He is rated as the No. 3 player in the state of California by 247Sports and No. 4 by Rivals and ESPN. He is touted as the No. 2 tight end in the country by Rivals and ESPN and No. 3 by 247Sports. He is nationally ranked 29th on the ESPN 300 List, 32nd on the Rivals 300 List and 42nd on the Top 247 List. He is listed as MaxPreps 2025 Top Tight End. Bowman reclassified and elected to forgo his senior year of high school, but will play his collegiate freshman campaign at 18 years old after being a constant difference-maker in the Trinity League. As a junior in 2025, he recorded 31 receptions for 370 yards (11.9 avg.) and 2 TDs. He also tallied 27 rushing yards on 5 carries (5.4 avg.). Additionally, he tallied 5 tackles, 1 fumble recovery and 1 forced fumble. Mater Dei reached the CIF Southern Section Semifinals in 2025. Prior to the season, Bowman was selected to the 2025 MaxPreps Preseason All-America First Team and to the 2025 Preseason All-CIF-Southern Section Team. In the spring of 2025, he helped Mater Dei win the inaugural LB Poly Nike Legends 7v7 Invitational. As a sophomore in 2024, he recorded 31 receptions for 427 yards (13.8 avg.) and 8 TDs. He also had 3 carries for 6 yards (2.0 avg.). Additionally, he recorded 2 tackles, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 forced fumble. They defeated De Le Salle 37-15 to be named 2024 CIF Open Division State Champions, and they beat Centennial 36-7 to win the 2024 CIF Southern Section title. Prior to the season, he was named a 2024 MaxPreps Preseason Sophomore First Team All-American. As a freshman in 2023, he recorded 11 receptions for 125 yards (11.4 avg.) and 4 TDs. He was named the 2023 Mater Dei Rookie of the Year. Bowman helped Mater Dei win the 2023 CIF Open Division State Championship and the 2023 CIF Southern Section Championship. Mater Dei was named the 2023 High School Football America National Champion and SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25 National Champion. Bowman's father was a defensive lineman at Colorado State.
Malik Brooks, DT – St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Calif.)
Brooks, a three-star recruit, is rated as the No. 48 player in the state of California by ESPN and No. 117 247Sports and No. 167 by Rivals. He is touted as the No. 53 defensive lineman in the country by ESPN, No. 161 by 247Sports and No. 199 by Rivals. As a senior in 2025, he recorded 50 tackles, including 14 for loss with 8 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. Prior to the season, he was named to the 2025 Cal-Hi Preseason All-State Third Team. He was also selected as one of the Press Telegram Top 10 Defensive Players to Watch in 2025 and a 2025 Los Angeles Times Top Defensive Linemen. As a junior in 2024, he tallied 39 tackles, including 12 for loss with 1.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 1 PBU. He was selected to the 2024 All-CIF Southern Section Division 8 Second Team. He was named the 2024 CIF Southern Section Division 8 Co-Defensive MVP. St. Pius X-St. Matthias were 2024 CIF Southern Section Region 8 Champions.
Jayden Crowder, CB – Santa Margarita Catholic HS (Calif.)
Lockart, a three-star recruit, is rated as the No. 41 player in the state of California by Rivals, No. 59 by 247Sports and No. 94 by ESPN. He is touted as the No. 66 cornerback in the country by 247Sports, No. 72 by Rivals and No. 93 by ESPN. As a senior in 2025, he recorded 33 tackles, including 1 for loss, 7 PBUs, 2 INTs and 2 blocked field goals. Offensively, he recorded 3 receptions for 27 yards (9.0 avg.). He also had 4 kickoff returns for 106 yards (26.5 avg.). He helped Santa Margarita with the CIF Southern Section Division 1 Championship under first year head coach, former USC Heisman winner, Carson Palmer. Prior to the season, he was named to the 2025 Cal-Hi Sports Preseason All-Orange County Team. Crowder transferred to Santa Margarita as a junior in 2024 and recorded 45 tackles, 8 PBUs, 2 INTs, 1 fumble recovery, 2 blocked field goals and 1 blocked punt. He also had 8 kickoff returns for 155 yards (19.4 avg.) and 1 punt return for 14 yards. He earned placement on the 2024 All-Trinity League First Team, the 2024 Cal-Hi Sports All-State Junior Third Team and the 2024 All-Orange County Third Team. As a sophomore at Mater Dei in 2023, he tallied 8 tackles, including 1 for loss, 1 INT, 1 PBU and 2 blocked field goals. Mater Dei won the 2023 CIF Open Division State Championship and the 2023 CIF Southern Section Championship. Chase Deniz, OL – Cathedral Catholic HS (Calif.)
Deniz, a three-star recruit, is rated as the No. 46 player in the state of California by ESPN and No. 89 Rivals and No. 105 by 247Sports. He is touted as the No. 56 offensive tackle in the country by ESPN, No. 96 by Rivals and No. 121 by 247Sports. In 2025, he helped Cathedral Catholic to an 8-2 season and to the CIF Playoffs. Deniz attended the 2025 Under Armour Next Camp: Los Angeles and won the offensive lineman MVP. In his first year on varsity in 2024, he helped lead his team to a 9-3 record. This propelled Cathedral to the second round of the playoffs during the 2024 season. Also in 2024, Cathedral was selected to have the best offensive line unit in San Diego by Daygofootball.com.
Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, WR – Mater Dei HS (Calif.)
Dixon-Wyatt, a four-star recruit, is ranked as the No. 47 player in the nation by 247Sports and No. 167 by ESPN. He is rated as the No. 5 player in the state of California by 247Sports, No. 18 by ESPN and No. 26 by Rivals. He is touted as the No. 6 wide receiver in the country by 247, No. 25 by ESPN and No. 43 by Rivals. He is nationally ranked 47th on the Top 247 List and 167th on the ESPN 300 List. He is a 2026 Navy All-American Bowl invitee. As a senior in 2025, he recorded 42 receptions for 693 yards (16.5 avg.) with 8 TDs. Mater Dei reached the CIF Southern Section Semifinals in 2025. In the spring of 2025, he helped Mater Dei win the inaugural LB Poly Nike Legends 7v7 Invitational. As a junior in 2024, he tallied 50 catches for 693 yards (13.9 avg.) and 5 TDs. Vlad Dyakonov, OL – Folsom HS (Calif.)
Dyakonov, a four-star recruit, is ranked the No. 68 player in the nation by Rivals, No. 242 by 247Sports and No. 234 by ESPN. He is rated as the No. 9 player in the state of California by Rivals and No. 23 by 247Sports and No. 28 by ESPN. He is touted as the No. 12 offensive tackle in the country by Rivals, No. 23 by 247Sports and No. 28 by ESPN. He is nationally ranked 68th on the Rivals 300. He is a 2026 Navy All-American Bowl invitee. As a senior in 2025, Folsom went 9-1 in the regular season to win the Sierra Foothill League Championship. Dyakonov attended the 2025 Under Armour Next Camp in Salt Lake City and the 2025 Rivals Camp Series in Los Angeles. He was also a 2025 USA Today ALL-USA Football West Team nominee. As a junior in 2024, Folsom went 9-1 to win the Sierra Foothill League Championship and then went on to win the 2024 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Championship. He was named the 2024 Sierra Foothill League All-League Lineman of the Year and earned placement on the 2024 MaxPreps All Sac-Joaquin Section Football Team.
Dyakonov has a multi-sport background and competed in gymnastics and wrestling while growing up in Belarus before coming to the United States.
Peyton "Man Man" Dyer, S – Tyner Academy (Tenn.)
Dyer, a four-star recruit, is ranked as the No. 249 player in the nation by Rivals. He is rated as the No. 9 player in the state of Tennessee by ESPN, No. 10 by Rivals and No. 14 by 247Sports. He is touted as the No. 30 cornerback in the country by Rivals and ESPN and No. 39 by 247Sports. He is nationally ranked 249th on Rivals 300 List. As a senior in 2025 he transferred to Tyner Academy, and he recorded 2 receptions for 41 yards (20.5) and 1 TD, as well as 7 carries for 17 yards (2.4 avg.) and 2 TDs. He helped Tyner Academy to go undefeated in regional play in 2025. Prior to the season, he was named to the 2025 Touchdown Club of Atlanta Preseason All-Star Team and the Recruit GA Preseason Class 6A All-State First Team. He was a 2025 Under Armour Next: Atlanta participant. As a junior in 2024 at Duluth High School in Georgia, he tallied 70 tackles, 12 PBUs, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 INT. he also notched 1 punt return for 50 yards. He was named to the 2024 Georgia High School Football Daily All-Region 7-6A First Team and to the 2024 Atlanta Journal Constitution Class 6A All-State Team. He was also a 2024 Atlanta Journal Constitution All-Gwinnett County Selection, the 2024 Touchdown Club of Gwinnett Player of the Year and a 2024 Recruit Georgia Class 6A All-State Honorable Mention. As a sophomore in 2023, he had 18 tackles and 2 INTs as well as 2 receptions for 18 yards (9.0 avg.). Dyer also competed in track and field, posting times of 11.70 in the 100-meter, 24.73 in the 200-meter and 54.85 in the 400-meter.
Ethan "Boobie" Feaster, WR – DeSoto HS (Texas)
Feaster, a four-star recruit, is ranked as the No. 28 player in the nation by ESPN, No. 57 by Rivals and No. 69 by 247Sports. He is rated as the No. 3 player in the state of Texas by ESPN, No. 7 by Rivals and No. 10 by 247Sports. He is touted as the No. 3 wide receiver in the country by ESPN, No. 8 by Rivals and No. 10 by 247Sports. He is nationally ranked 28th on the ESPN 300 List, 57th on the Rivals 300 List and 69th on the Top 247 List. Feaster is a Dave Campbell's Texas Football Five-Star. He is officially the youngest prospect to ever be selected as a Dave Campbell's Texas Football five-star. Feaster is a 2026 Polynesian Bowl All-Star. He is a 2026 Under Armour All-America Game invitee. Feaster reclassified and elected to forgo his senior year of high school, but will begin his collegiate freshman campaign at just 17 years old after being a game changer in high school. As a junior in 2025, he recorded 69 receptions for 1,264 yards (18.3 avg.) with 15 TDs. He also rushed for 89 yards on 3 carries (29.7 avg.) with 2 TDs. He helped DeSoto reach the quarterfinals of Texas' 6A D-II state playoffs. Prior to the season, he was named a 2025 MaxPreps Preseason Second Team All-American and was selected to the 2025 Preseason All-Area Team. He was a 2025 Under Armour Next Dallas participant and named the wide receiver MVP. He is a 2025 Whataburger Super Team finalist. As a sophomore in 2024, he had 57 receptions for 824 yards (14.5 avg.) with 13 TDs. He was named to the 2024 MaxPreps Sophomore All-America First Team. He was a unanimous 2024 All-District (11-6A) First Team selection. Prior to the season, he was named a 2024 MaxPreps Preseason Sophomore First Team All-American. As a freshman in 2023, he tallied 30 receptions for 634 yards (21.1 avg.) with 9 TDs. He was selected as a 2023 MaxPreps Freshman All-American. He earned 2023 All-District Offensive Newcomer honors. The Eagles won the 6A Division II championship in 2023. His nickname, "Boobie", is a nod to Boobie Miles of the book and movie "Friday Night Lights".
John Fifita, OL – Saint Francis HS (Calif.)
Fifita, a three-star recruit, is rated as the No. 60 player in the state of California by ESPN, No. 78 by Rivals and No. 130 by 247Sports. He is touted as the No. 72 interior offensive lineman in the country by ESPN, No. 111 by Rivals and No. 129 by 247Sports. In 2025, he helped Mountain View reach the playoffs. As a junior in 2024, Mountain View went 8-2 in the regular season and won the CIF Central Coast Section Division 1 Championship. He was named a 2024 All-West Catholic Athletic League Honorable Mention. His unit also earned Offensive Linemen of the Week honors in 2024 by GetFocus Sports for their performance over Archbishop Mitty as the Lancers recorded 404 yards.
Elbert "Rock" Hill IV , CB – Archbishop Hoban HS (Ohio)
Hill, a five-star recruit, is ranked as the No. 22 player in the nation by ESPN, No. 76 by Rivals and No. 87 by 247Sports. He is rated as the No. 1 player in the state of Ohio by ESPN, No. 2 by Rivals and No. 4 by 247Sports. He is touted as the No. 1 cornerback in the country by ESPN, No. 7 by 247Sports and No. 8 by Rivals. He is nationally ranked 22nd on the ESPN 300 List, 76th on the Rivals 300 List and 87th on the Top 247 List. As a senior in 2025, he tallied 47 tackles, including 5 for loss, with 9 INTs, 33 PBUs, 3 TDs and 1 FG block. He was selected as the NFL's Cleveland Browns representative at the 2025 Nike Next Ones during Super Bowl Week. Nike organized Next Ones, an elite athlete invitational that brought together 32 of the top high school players in the country for a showcase during Super Bowl Week. As a junior in 2024, he collected 4 INTs and 3 PBUs. Offensively, he tallied 5 TDs. He was named to the 2024 MaxPreps Junior All-America Second Team. Talanoa Ili, LB – Kahuku HS (Hawaii)

Mater Dei reached the CIF Southern Section Semifinals in 2025. In the spring of 2025, he helped Mater Dei win the inaugural LB Poly Nike Legends 7v7 Invitational. He won the linebacker MVP at the 2025 Navy All-American Combine. As a junior in 2024, he recorded 22 tackles, including 11.5 for loss with 6.5 sacks for minus 34 yards, 2 QBHs, 2 INTs, 2 PBUs and 1 blocked punt. He earned first place at the Cherry Creek Invite where he threw the shot put 47' 11.00". At the same event, he logged a 131' 9.00" distance on the discuss. He was also named to the 2024 MaxPreps California All-State First Team, the 2024 Sporting News California All-State First Team, the 2024 Cal-Hi Sports All-State First Team, the 2024 High School on SI All-America First Team, the 2024 All-CIF Southern Section Team, the 2024 Cal-Hi Junior All-State Team, 2024 Cal-Hi Sports All-State Team, the 2024 All-Trinity League First Team. Topui was named the 2024 High School on SI All-CIF Southern Section Defensive Player of the Year, the 2024 Trinity League MVP and the Los Angeles Times Lineman of the Year. He was also a member of the 2024 MaxPreps National Player of the Year Award Watch List and was a 2024 OCVarsity Hot 150. Topui helped Mater Dei go 13-0 in 2024 to be named national champions by MaxPreps, Sports Illustrated, USA Today, Max Preps and High School Football America and ESPN. The Monarchs won each game by an average margin of 22.3 points per game and held 11 of 13 opponents to 18 points or less. Mater Dei went 5-0 in Trinity League action and won by an average margin of 27.4 points per game. They defeated De Le Salle 37-15 to be named 2024 CIF Open Division State Champions, and they beat Centennial 36-7 to win the 2024 CIF Southern Section title. As a sophomore in 2023, he collected 13 tackles, including 3 for loss, 1 PBU, 1 forced fumble and 1 receiving TD. He was named to the 2023 All-Orange County Team and the 2023 All-State Underclassmen Team. Topui helped Mater Dei win the 2023 CIF Open Division State Championship and the 2023 CIF Southern Section Championship. Mater Dei was named the 2023 High School Football America National Champion and SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25 National Champion. Prior to the season, he was named a 2023 MaxPreps Preseason Sophomore Second Team All-American. As a freshman in 2022, he tallied 6 tackles, including 1 for loss (with 0.5 sacks). He earned 2022 MaxPreps Freshman Second Team All-American honors. Mater Dei reached the CIF Southern Section Championship game in 2022. Topui also competed in track and field at Mater Dei. In 2024, he was one of the top shot put and discus throwers in Orange County. He had personal best of 52'8" in the shot put and 166'7" in the discus. He won Trinity League championship titles in both events. In his first year competing in track in 2023, he won a Trinity League title in the discus and finished in second place in the shot put. He recorded a personal best throw of 45'2.5" in the shot and 155'10" in the discus.

As a senior in 2025, he recorded 99 tackles, including 37 for loss with a school record 23 sacks. He earned placement on the 2025 All NJ Prep "A" Football First Team. As a team captain, he led the Hun School to a 10-0 record and a won a New England Championship in 2025. Wafle was named the 2025 All NJ Prep Football Team Defensive Player of the Year and the 2025 12th Man Touchdown Club Prep Lineman of Year. He was selected as the NFL's New York Giants representative at the 2025 Nike Next Ones during Super Bowl Week. Nike organized Next Ones, an elite athlete invitational that brought together 32 of the top high school players in the country for a showcase during Super Bowl Week. As a junior in 2024, he tallied 53 tackles, including 18 for loss with 8 sacks and 8 QBHs. He added 13 carries for 99 yards (7.6 avg.) and 1 catch for 41 yards on offense. He earned placement on the 2024 All NJ Prep "A" Football First Team. As a sophomore in 2023, he notched 7 tackles, including 3 for loss with 1.5 sacks and 5 QBHs. Offensively, he recorded 7 carries for 133 yards (19.0 avg.) and 1 TD.
Luc Weaver, WR – Notre Dame HS (Calif.)
Weaver, a four-star recruit, is ranked as the No. 221 player in the nation by Rivals. He is rated as the No. 19 player in the state of California by Rivals, No. 35 by 247Sports and No. 43 by ESPN. He is touted as the No. 29 wide receiver in the country by Rivals, No. 49 by 247Sports and No. 71 by Rivals. He is nationally ranked 221st on the Rivals 300 List. As a senior in 2025, he recorded 22 receptions for 397 yards and 7 TDs. He was named to the 2025 All-Mission League First Team. As a junior in 2024, he tallied 53 receptions for 1,024 yards ( 19.3 avg.) with 10 TDs. He also had 6 carries for 22 yards (3.7 avg.). He also handled kickoff returns, recording 12 for 356 yards (29.7 avg.). He was honored as a member of the 2024 All-CIF Southern Section Division 3 Team, the 2024 All-Mission League First Team and the 2024 Cal-Hi Junior All-State Team. As a sophomore in 2023, he tallied 23 receptions for 439 yards (19.1 avg.) with 6 TDs. He also recorded 312 yards in kickoff returns with 1 TD. He was named to the 2023 All-Mission Second Team. He also rushed for 301 yards on 34 carries (8.9 avg.) with 1 TD. He is touted as the No. 3 quarterback in the country by ESPN, No. 9 by 247Sports and No. 13 by Rivals. He is nationally ranked 118th on the Top 247 List, 131st on the ESPN 300 List and 138th on the Rivals 300 List. He is a 2026 Navy All-American Bowl invitee. Williams holds Illinois High School Association State Record for 11,347 passing yards and 147 TDs throughout his career. As a senior in 2025, he tallied 2,488 passing yards and 35 TDs. He was a 2025 All-USA Football Team Finalist. He was selected as the NFL's Chicago Bears representative at 2025 Nike Next Ones during Super Bowl Week. Nike organized Next Ones, an elite athlete invitational that brought together 32 of the top high school players in the country for a showcase during Super Bowl Week. He was also a 2025 Elite 11 Participant and participated in the OT7 finals. He was a 2025 Nike's Next Ones Cap participant and won the accuracy competition. As a junior in 2024, he helped his team go 12-1, going 194-of-286 (.678) and recorded 2,926 passing yards with 42 TDs and 395 rushing yards with 7 rushing TDs.
