The Women of Troy advance to the NCAA quarterfinals
GULF SHORES, Ala. – The top-seeded USC beach volleyball team (34-5) swept 16th-seeded North Florida (25-12) in the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 at Gulf Beach Place on Friday, May 3.

In their eighth NCAA appearance, the Women of Troy rose to 3-0 all-time against the Ospreys. USC also improved to 35-8 in Alabama and 28-4 in NCAA tournament duals. The Trojans are 88-32 across all courts in the NCAA tournament.

On court three, graduates Audrey Nourse and Nicole Nourse held off Katie Camp and Iris Fletcher (21-14, 21-16) to gain USC's first point of the dual. This win extends the Nourses' streak to seven to go 30-7 on the season. In Gulf Shores, the twins are now 10-1 and notch their eighth in a row with this match victory.

At the No. 4 position, freshman Ashley Pater and graduate Grace Seits defeated Cameron Humphries and Hayden Wooldridge in straight sets (21-14, 21-8) to put another point on the board for USC. Pater and Seits improve to 10-1 as a pair and extend their win streak to three.

The third and final point on the board was scored by graduate Maddi Kriz and sophomore Madison White as they took down Madison Espy and Presley Murray 21-17, 21-18. Kriz and White rise to 8-3 when playing together this season.

At the No. 1 position, All-American seniors Megan Kraft and Delaynie Maple won their first set, 21-17. On court five, freshman Madison Goellner and sophomore Mabyn Thomas also won their first set, 21-15. Neither match was completed.

The Trojans will continue play in the NCAA tournament quarterfinal on Saturday, May 4, against eighth-seeded No. 9 LMU (28-13). The Trojans are set for first serve at 9 a.m. CT (7 a.m. PT) against the Lions.
