LOS ANGELES—USC football has added Missouri State as a future home opponent, the athletic department announced today (Oct. 2).

The Missouri State Bears will visit the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to open the 2025 football season on Aug. 30, 2025.

While Missouri State is currently in its final year in the Missouri Valley Football Conference (FCS), it will officially join Conference USA for the 2025-26 athletic season, thus making it an FBS program.

This will be the first time ever that USC has faced Missouri State.

USC's record in all season openers is 99-24-8 (.786), with 36 shutout victories. In season openers at home, the Trojans are 70-16-7 (.790). (Does not include 1 win vacated due to NCAA penalty; original record: 100-24-8, .788 overall.)
