USC’s Calen Bullock Named to 2023 Bednarik Award Watch List

LOS ANGELES—USC safety Calen Bullock was selected to the 2023 Bednarik Award Watch List today (Aug. 14). The Bednarik Award is annually presented to the outstanding defensive player in college football.
Bullock, a junior, will lead the Trojan secondary in 2023. He started all 14 games and led the team in interceptions with 5 (ranked 11th in the nation). He also tallied 48 tackles (sixth on the team) and 5 pass breakups (tied for second on the team). He was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team and the AP All-Pac-12 First team.
In his 3-year career, he has 87 tackles, 7 interceptions (running 1 back for a TD) and 8 pass breakups while appearing in 26 games with 14 starts.
USC has one Bednarik Award winner, Rey Maualuga in 2008.
The recipient of the 2023 Bednarik Award will be announced live on The Home Depot College Football Awards.
