Jan’Taijah Jones, Bailey Lear & William Jones Earn Medals at NACAC U23 Championships

Jan'Taijah Jones and Bailey Lear won relay gold medals and William Jones won a bronze in the 400m and and a silver medal with the USA relay team at the 2023 North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) U23 Championships held at National Stadium in San Jose, Costa Rica at the competition which ran July 21-23. The results continue a busy summer of competition or the Trojans which saw Yemi John win the 400m race at the European U23 Championships in Finland on July 14.

NACAC U23 Championships:

Jan'Taijah Jones won a gold medal with the USA women's 4x400m relay team which posted a time of 3: 26.83.
Bailey Lear won a gold medal with USA's mixed 4x400m relay team which ran a time of 3:14.71.
William Jones finished third to earn a bronze medal in the men's 400m final with a time of 45.95. He reached the final by running 45.17 in the prelims. Jones also ran the first leg on USA's men's 4x400m relay which earned a silver medal with a time of 3:03.84.

European U23 Championships:

Yemi John, who placed third in the 400m at the 2023 British Athletics Championships on July 9, won the 2023 European U23 women's 400m title with a PR of 51.04 on July 14. Her time bettered her ninth-place standing on USC's all-time 400m list.
