17 USC T&F Student-Athletes Named To USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams

The USC Track & Field program had 17 student-athletes named to the 2023 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic teams it was announced today (July 20). Additionally, the USC women's team earned an All-Academic Team designation. To earn All-Academic team honors the composite team GPA must be at least 3.0 and individually, an athlete had to maintain a GPA of at least 3.25.

USC women's track and field athletes which earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors were Jassani Carter (Exploratory Studies), Karlee Freeman (Master's In Social Entrepreneurship), Allie Jones (Master's In Healthcare Administration), Jan'Taijah Jones (Sociology), Jasmine Jones (Biological Sciences), Bailey Lear (Master's In Digital Media Management), Samirah Moody (Communication), Lauren Reed (Real Estate Development), Maci Simmons (Applied & Computational Mathematics) and Jalaysiya Smith (Communication).

The USC men's track and field athletes earning USTFCCCA All-Academic honors were Johnnie Blockburger (Communication), Chris Borzor (Certificate in Gerontology), Elias Gerald (Communication), Christian Johnson (Real Estate Development), Michael Phillippy (Master's In Educational Counseling), Bobby Poynter (Applied Psychology) and Brendon Stewart (Master's In Digital Management and Certificate in Gerontology).
