USC Beach Volleyball's Audrey and Nicole Nourse Earn Pac-12 Pair of the Week Honors

SAN FRANCISCO – USC beach volleyball seniors Audrey Nourse (Newport Beach, Calif./Orange Lutheran HS) and Nicole Nourse (Newport Beach, Calif./Orange Lutheran HS) were selected as the Pac-12 Pair of the Week for the week of March 27-April 2, as announced by the Pac-12 Conference on Tuesday, April 4.

USC's twin seniors went 3-0 as a pair and each sister went 4-0 as individuals to help the Trojans go 4-0 at the East Meets West Invitational with wins over fourth-ranked Florida State, No. 5 LSU, No. 11 Georgia State, and 16th-ranked Florida International.

The two sisters played with different partners in the same dual for the first time in their careers and helped USC knock off LSU, 4-1. Nicole had previously paired with other Trojans but only due to Audrey's absence from the lineup because of injury. This time, Nicole teamed with Megan Kraft to get a win at the No. 1 position while Audrey linked up with Delaynie Maple to get a win at the No. 2 spot.

Reunited at the No. 2 position for the other three duals, Audrey and Nicole dropped just one set all weekend and opened with a 21-19, 21-18 win over Florida State's Audrey Koenig and Carra Sassack. In a three-set match, the twins came back from a first-set loss to get a 17-21, 21-15, 15-10 win over Georgia State's Kelly Dorn and Elise Saga. They then capped the weekend with a straight-set 21-19, 21-15 victory against Florida International's Rachele Mancinelli and Roberta Ribeiro.

The Nourses extended their active win streak to six matches and improved to 14-3 overall this season. The three wins together also marked their 76th all-time victory as a pair, which ranks third in school history. Individually, Nicole collected her 79th-career win and Audrey racked up her 77th-career victory.

Audrey and Nicole were previously chosen for Pac-12 Pair of the Week laurels as sophomores in 2021 (March 5). They bring home USC's 28th all-time weekly honor; most among Pac-12 schools.

No. 3-ranked USC (17-1) is on a seven-dual win streak as the Women of Troy head to the Bay Area for the Pac-12 North Invitational hosted by Stanford this weekend. The Trojans take on Arizona State (7-7) and Oregon (7-15) on Friday (April 7) and then meet 18th-ranked Arizona (16-4) and Utah (6-16) on Saturday (April 8). The Trojans meet the Sun Devils and the Utes at Stanford's Sand Hill Courts and will face the Ducks and Wildcats at Stanford Beach Volleyball Stadium. The stadium matches will be shown live on Pac-12 Networks.
