USC's Mekhi Blackmon Picked In Third Round Of 2023 NFL Draft By Minnesota Vikings

LOS ANGELES — USC defensive back Mekhi Blackmon was selected by the Minnesota Vikings as the 39th pick of the third round (102 overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Blackmon is USC's 522nd all-time NFL draftee. USC is second behind Notre Dame's 524 for most NFL draft picks produced.
Blackmon was selected to the 2022 All-Pac-12 First Team after playing in 14 games (with 14 starts) and tallying 67 tackles with 2.0 for loss. He also led the team with 12 pass breakups, recorded 3 interceptions, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery.
In his 4-year (2018-21) career at Colorado, he had 87 tackles, including 3 for losses (with 2 sacks), 13 deflections, a fumble recovery and 2 interceptions while appearing in 25 games (with 19 starts).
On Thursday (April 27), USC wide receiver Jordan Addison was selected in the first round as the No. 23 overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings, the 85th Trojan first rounder ever (second most of any school). Trojan defensive lineman Tuli Tuipulotu was selected in the second round as the No. 54 overall pick by the Los Angeles Chargers earlier today. A USC player has been drafted every year since 1939.
