No. 2 USC Beach Volleyball Grounds Ospreys in 5-0 Sweep

The Trojans grabbed their third win at the Surf & Turf Invitational with a clean sweep of North Florida
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – The No. 2-ranked USC beach volleyball team (13-1) took down North Florida (11-5) in a 5-0 sweep to conclude the Surf & Turf Invitational on South Beach on Saturday, March 18. The Trojans wrap the tournament with three wins and collect their fourth clean sweep of an opponent this spring.
The Trojans picked up four two-set victories to lead, 4-0, and got started with a 21-11, 21-13 win by twin seniors Audrey Nourse and Nicole Nourse over Madison Espy and Presley Murray at the top position. The Nourses are now 11-3 on the season and 73-13 all-time.
At the No. 3 spot, junior Delaynie Maple and graduate Ashlyn Rasnick-Pope teamed together for the first time and completed a 21-18, 21-13 win over Katie Camp and Michaela Rezentes, to give USC a 2-0 lead in the dual.
At court five, junior Olivia Bakos and freshman Bailey Showalter claimed a 21-16, 21-11 win over Zoe Cahill and Mariana Feliciano Sanchez to punch the clinching point for the Women of Troy. The Trojans added a fourth point from court four where freshman tandem Delaney Karl and Gabby Walker took out Chantel McMillan and Hayden Woolridge, 21-12, 21-18.
The Women of Troy added a fifth point to complete the sweep with a three-set win by graduate Madison Shields and freshman Madison White at the No. 2 court. There, they defeated Audrey Brooks and Iris Fletcher, 21-18, 18-21, 15-13, to pick up their ninth win this season.
USC will not play next week and will be back in action for the East Meets West Invitational at the Manhattan Beach Pier, March 31-April 1. The Trojans will face Florida International, LSU, Florida State, and Georgia State in duals at the local invite.
