USC Track & Field Dominates At Arkansas Qualifier

Trojans win 5 of the 6 events in which they competed
Johnny Brackins Jr. won the men's 60m hurdles, Brendon Stewart the men's 60m, Samirah Moody the women's 60m, Ashton Allen the men's 400m and Max Thomas the men's 200m dash to highlight the Trojans' action at the Arkansas Qualifier in Fayetteville, Ark. today (Feb. 17).
- Brackins Jr. won the men's 60m hurdles with a PR of 7.60, just 0.01 seconds off the meet record. His time moved him from third to tied for second on USC's all-time 60m hurdles list. He posted a time of 7.68 in the first round to qualify for the finals.
- Stewart won the men's 60m dash with a time of 6.72. He ran 6.66 in the first round to advance first to the final.
- Moody won the women's 60m dash with a meet-record time of 7.20, which was 0.01 off her personal best. Moody advanced first to the finals with a time of 7.33 in the first round.
- Allen won the men's 400m with a time of 46.56. Just behind Allen in the 400m race was Johnnie Blockburger who took second with a slight PR of 46.58, bettering ninth-place standing on USC's all-time list in the event.
- Thomas won the men's 200m with a PR of 20.67. His time moved him from tied for ninth to seventh on USC's all-time indoor 200m list.
- Brackins Jr. also placed third in the men's long jump with a best jump of 25-5.50 (7.76m).
