USC’s Krzysztof Chmielewski, Minna Abraham Named November Pac-12 Swimmers of the Month

LOS ANGELES - USC freshmen phenoms Krzysztof Chmielewski and Minna Abraham were announced on Tuesday, Dec. 5 as the November Pac-12 Swimmers of the Month. This is the first such honor for both Trojans.
Chmielewski led Troy during the month of November, picking up seven individual event wins. He currently leads the NCAA in the 1000y free (8:47.53) and the 1650y free (14:37.74), while swimming top-five times in the 200y fly (1:41.20) and 500y free (4:13.84).
Abraham turned in a thrilling month of swims that helped the Trojans to wins over Arizona and Arizona State. The freshman went undefeated in the 200y freestyle during the month of November, winning three time, earning an NCAA automatic cut, breaking the USC school record and recording the second fastest time in the event in the country this season (1:43.38). The freshman also contributed to three USC relay wins at the Texas Invitational and assisted in setting a new Trojan program record in the 200y free relay (1:26.31).
This marks the second consecutive month a Trojan has been named the Pac-12 Women's Swimmer of the Month, with senior Kaitlyn Dobler claiming the honor in October.
