USC’s Calen Bullock Named Lott IMPACT Trophy Quarterfinalist

LOS ANGELES--USC safety Calen Bullock was named a Lott IMPACT Trophy Quarterfinalist, today (Oct. 6).
The Lott IMPACT Trophy is awarded annually to the student-athlete who best exhibits the characteristics of Ronnie Lott by making an IMPACT on and off the field. IMPACT is an acronym for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
Bullock, a junior, has 24 tackles on the season (second most on the team) and leads the Trojans with 4 pass breakups. He also has recorded 1 interception.
The 2022 First Team All-American started all 14 games last season and led the team in interceptions with 5 (ranked 11th in the nation). He also tallied 48 tackles (sixth on the team) and 5 pass breakups (tied for second on the team). He was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team and the AP All-Pac-12 First team.
In his 3-year career, he has 111 tackles, 8 interceptions (running 1 back for a TD) and 12 pass breakups while appearing in 31 games with 19 starts.
This year's presentation of Lott IMPACT Trophy will be the 20th in the award's history. Semi-finalists will be chosen in late November and four finalists in December. The four finalists will be invited to attend the annual Lott IMPACT Trophy award show, December 10, 2023, in Newport Beach, California. Joel Klatt from Fox Sports will emcee the event.
