USC Football’s Nick Figueroa Named Semifinalist For 2021 Campbell Trophy

LOS ANGELES — USC senior defensive lineman Nick Figueroa has been named a semifinalist for the 2021 William V. Campbell Trophy, given to the nation's top scholar-athlete by the National Football Foundation.
The NFF will select 12 to 14 finalists on Oct. 27 and each receive an $18,000 post-graduate scholarship. The finalists will attend the Dec. 7 NFF annual Awards Dinner in Las Vegas, Nev., where the winner of the Campbell Trophy will be announced and his post-graduate scholarship will increase to $25,000.
Figueroa, a second-year starter, led the 2020 Trojans in tackles for loss (7) and sacks (3.5) when he was named All-Pac-12 honorable mention. He has 34 tackles in his career.
He earned his bachelor's degree in real estate development from USC in the spring of 2021 and now is working on a master's in finance. He has a 3.76 GPA.
