USC’s Isaiah Pola-Mao, Kana’i Mauga, Tuli Tuipulotu Named To 2021 Polynesian Player Of The Year Watch List

Safety Isaiah Pola-Mau, inside linebacker Kana'i Mauga and defensive lineman Tuli Tuipulotu have been named to the 2021 Watch List for the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award.
The award, presented by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame, is given annually to the most outstanding college football player of Polynesian ancestry who epitomizes great ability and integrity.
Five finalists will be unveiled on Nov. 30 and the winner will be announced on Dec. 14. The presentation of the Award will be held during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week Celebration Dinner on Jan. 21 and the winner also will be recognized at halftime of the Jan. 22 Polynesian Bowl.
Former Trojan safety Talanoa Hufanga was the 2020 Polynesian College Football Co-Player of the Year.
Pola-Mao, a senior who has 121 tackles and 5 interceptions in his career, is USC's most experienced returning defensive back. The 2-year starter led USC last year in deflections (5) and fumble recoveries (3) while recording 40 tackles.
Mauga, a senior and 2-year starter who has 116 career tackles, was second on the Trojans in stops (41) last year.
Tuipulotu, a sophomore, was impressive in 2020 when he earned Freshman All-American second team acclaim after posting 22 tackles.
