USC Long Snapper Damon Johnson Named Mannelly Award Semifinalist

<p><strong>LOS ANGELES</strong> — USC senior long snapper Damon Johnson has been named to one of 10 semifinalists for the 2020 Patrick Mannelly Award, given to the nation's top long snapper.
<p>The Award, presented by William Blair to benefit Bernie's Book Bank, is named after former NFL long snapper Patrick Mannelly.
<p>Finalists will be named on Dec. 22 and the award ceremony is Jan. 9, 2021.
<p>Joining Johnson as semifinalists are Cal Adomitis of Pittsburgh, Adam Bay of Wisconsin, Turner Bernard of San Diego State, Thomas Fletcher of Alabama, Jacob Fugua of Alabama Birmingham, Logan Klusman of Kansas, Ryan Langan of Georgia Southern, Keegan Markgraf of Utah and John Taylor of Duke.
<p>Johnson is in his fourth season as USC's starting long snapper and has performed flawlessly. He was named to the 2020 Phil Steele pre-season All-American first team.
