Q – How has the transition been to college life?
Â
J.F. - It hasn't been the easiest, because managing my time is kind of hard. But, with all of the support that we have, it is very helpful.
Â
Q – What has helped you with the transition?
Â
J.F. -Â Â Although my transition was hard, the tutors, learning specialists, athletic trainers, and nutritionists have helped me a lot.
Â
Q -Â What has been the biggest difference between high school and college track?
Â
J.F. -Â Â It is more intense because there is more competition and harder, longer workouts.
Â
Q – What has the coaching been like for you at USC?
Â
J.F. -Â Â I really like it. Coach Caryl (Smith Gilbert) cares about her athletes more than track. Â She cares about them more off the track in their academics, and that's what I really care about. That is why I came to USC.
Â
Q - What are your future goals?
Â
J.F. -Â Â My main goal in life is to be successful and make an impact on my community.
Â
Q - What is it like being a So Cal native and going to college down the street?
Â
J.F. -Â Â It makes me more comfortable because it feels like home. I have family right down the street, so if I want to go home, I can go home if I want to. It also makes me feel more independent because even though I am in my state, I am still away from my family.
Â
Q - What is your major at USC?
Â
J.F. -Â Â I just applied for the communications major because it is broad and I believe that it can prepare me for many things.
Â
Q – What are some fun facts about Jazmyne Frost?
Â
J.F. -Â Â
-She is a Southern California native
- Her birthday is on Halloween
-She is the only girl in her family
-Her favorite thing to do outside of running is to shop for clothes (Nike, Fashion Nova)
