USC To Compete At The Tyson Invitational This Week

Trojans cancel trip to Husky Classic due to weather
The USC track and field team will be in action at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. from Feb. 8-9. The Trojan throwers were scheduled to compete at the Husky Classic, but due to weather-related issues, USC will not make the trip to Seattle, Wash.
The USC women's team enters the week ranked No. 2 and the men's team is ranked No. 11. The Tyson Invitational will be a great measuring ground for the Trojans in the sprints, middle distances and jumps.
On the women's side at the Tyson Invitational, 33 collegiate teams will be competing as well as several professional athletes from around the world. Eight of the programs competing are ranked among the USTFCCCA Top 25 including No. 1 Arkansas, No. 2 USC, No. 4 Florida, No. 5 Florida State, No. 9 Georgia, No. 12 LSU, No. 14 Alabama, No. 15 Iowa, and No. 22 Kansas State. The men's meet will also feature 33 programs including nine ranked teams in No. 2 Florida State, No. 3 Florida, No. 5 LSU, No. 6 Georgia, No. 9 Alabama, No. 11 Southern California, No. 16 Kansas, No. 21 Baylor and No. 26 Illinois. The Tyson Invitational will begin at 11 a.m. PT on Feb. 8 and at 8:30 a.m. PT on Feb. 9.
