Junior transfer finishes at 13-under 203 for best finish as Trojan.
USC junior college transfer Leon D'Souza, in his second event as a Trojan, tied for second at the Bill Cullum Invitational on Tuesday (Oct 15) at the Wood Ranch G.C. in Simi Valley, Calif.
D'Souza, a two-time junior college national champion, tied for second at 13-under 203 (69-66-68). He finished five back of winner Puwit Anupansuebsai while tied with Pepperdine's Clay Feagler.
D'Souza posted three birdies and an eagle on the par 5 2nd hole today. That followed his five-birdie, one-eagle performance in the second round Monday and a seven-birdie day in Monday's first round.
Trojan senior Kyle Suppa joined D'Souza and freshman Tyler Guo as individual entrees in the tournament. Suppa tied for 35th at 1-over 217 (70-69-78) while Guo tied for 79th at 12-over 228 (73-74-81).
