High School (Hometown): Leone HS (Pago Pago, American Samoa)
Game: Falaniko played backup outside linebacker and special teams as a first-year freshman in 2017. During 12 games (all but Texas and Colorado), he posted 6 tackles. He also played inside linebacker.
Prep Career: Falaniko made 2016 Prep Star All-West Region, All-American Samoa High School Athletic Association first team and MVP of the All Poly Camp as a senior linebacker and wide receiver at Leone HS. As a junior in 2015, he was All-American Samoa High School Athletic Association first team and Fa'asamoa Initiative Outstanding Football Student-Athlete.
USC LB coach Johnny Nansen on Falaniko: "He's just like Uchenna [Nwosu] ... You gotta have athletic guys that can surf and change direction. And he's doing a good job doing that and holding his own. He's a tough kid, but he's also a smart kid."
Fun Fact: Falaniko is only the second player in USC history to have prepped in American Samoa (Travis Tofi, 2003-06).
