Terry Wins USATF Juniors 100m Title

Qualifies to represent USA at the 2018 IAAF U20 Championships in Finland
USC's freshman All-American sprinter Twanisha "TeeTee" Terry won the 100m dash title at the 2018 USATF Junior Chapmpionships held in Bloomington, Ind. today (June 15). The top two finishers in each event are eligible to compete for USA at the IAAF World U20 Championships to be held in Tampere, Finland, July 10-15.
Terry, who placed third in the 100m dash at the 2018 NCAA Championships to earn All-America honors, won the 100m dash final today with a time of 11.24 (-1.1). Seven of the finalist in the event were college runners.
Terry reached the final by posting the fastest qualifying time of 11.27 (-0.7) earlier in the day.
Terry earned outdoor All-America honors in the 100m and as part of the 4x100m team as Trojans also took third in the relay at the NCAA Championships. Terry also earned second team All-America honors in the 200m, placing 11th in the event at the NCAA Championships.
During her amazing first season of running track for USC, Terry set the school and freshman records in the 100m dash with a time of 10.99 and the 200m freshman record of 22.74. She also won the Pac-12 100m title and the MPSF indoor 60m title. Terry also anchored USC's 4x100m relay which set the school record with a winning time of 43.57 at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 21.
