Embracing the Hero Inside

Each year since 2014, one USC football student-athlete has been selected to organize a community outreach event of his own.
Recently, offensive lineman Jordan Austin, this year's winner of the USC Football Community Service Award, executed his project by bringing the families of approximately 100 foster children to campus.
Austin partnered with Trojan Outreach and the Jaffe Family Foundation to host a luncheon for local foster families, during which they enjoyed a free lunch, motivational speeches from Austin and USC football alumnus Thomas Williams and a showing of the film Black Panther.
Each foster child left campus with not only the inspiration to find his inner strength, but with a duffel bag filled with goodies.
