High School (Hometown): Clayton Valley HS (Concord, Calif.)
Prep Career: McKenzie made the 2016 Tacoma News Tribune Western 100, Prep Star All-West Region, USA Today All-California second team, Cal-Hi Sports All-State second team, Max Preps All-NorCal second team, San Jose Mercury News All-Bay Area first team and San Francisco Chronicle All-Metro second team as a senior offensive and defensive lineman.
USC head coach Clay Helton on McKenzie: "Jalen McKenzie has jumped out at us. It's good to see some of those young offensive linemen have their opportunity and get reps after serving on our defensive service team. He's doing a nice job."
Fun Fact: McKenzie comes from a big football family. His father, Reggie, played in college and in the NFL and is now the general manager of the Oakland Raiders. McKenzie's uncle, Raleigh, also played in college and the NFL and works as a scout for the Raiders. McKenzie's older brother, Kahlil, played college football as well.
