Last week, USC women's soccer partnered with Street Soccer USA to provide local youth from Children's Institute, Inc. a fun, free soccer clinic.
Street Soccer USA is a national nonprofit that provides community level sport-based solutions to issues of poverty. They create a safe place to play for children between the ages of six and 18 years old, as well as homeless families, adults and people in recovery.
Children's Institute, Inc. provides clinic services, early childhood services, youth development programs, family support services and more in Southern California.
The children USC hosted have been playing together since November, learning teamwork and meeting coaches and mentors they can look up to. The women's soccer team ran the children through drills and some scrimmages on the indoor field at USC's John McKay Center.
