Women of Troy Challenge Crosstown Rival UCLA

After going undefeated in the month of February, the USC women's tennis team will face the UCLA Bruins in a non-conference match on Friday (March 2) at 1:30 p.m. in Marks Stadium.
ORACLE/ITA RANKINGS UPDATES
After a stellar February campaign, the Women of Troy moved up 16 spots to the No. 32 team in the nation in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I National Rankings which were released on Tuesday (Feb. 27). In addition two Trojan singles players and a doubles pair remain nationally ranked. Senior Gabby Smith is USC's highest ranked singles player at No. 30. Smith is 17-9 on the season, with four wins agasint singles opponents in the top 14. Fellow senior Madison Westby earned placement in the rankings as she secured the No. 110 spot. Westby holds a 12-9 season record. In doubles, the Trojan tandem of Angela Kulikov and Rianna Valdes hold the No. 39 position. The duo is 7-2 throughout the course of the season.
SCOUTING UCLA
The No. 9 ranked UCLA Bruins (8-2) will arrive at Marks Stadium on Friday with five singles players (No. 11 Ena Shibahara, No. 40 Abi Altick, No. 59 Jada Hart, No. Terri Fleming and No. 99 Alaina Miller) and four doubles pairs (No. 5 Hart/Sibahara, No. 24 Andrews/Broomfield, No. 30 Andrew/Hart and No. 38 Hart/Fleming) nationally ranked. The Bruins are coming off a successful weekend in Westwood, Calif. where they defeated Fresno State 4-0 on Feb. 23 and fellow Pac-12 opponent California 5-2 on Feb. 24. USC holds a 49-45 lead over UCLA in their all-time series which began in 1977.
