Trojans Win 3 Events At 2 Qualifier Meets

Twanisha "TeeTee" Terry won the women's 200m, Kyra Constantine the women's 400m and Rai Benjamin the men's 200m at the Arkansas Qualifier in Fayetteville, Ark. and Nick Ponzio was second and Matthew Katnik fourth in the men's shot put at the Northern Arizona Tune-Up meet in Flagstaff, Ariz. today (Feb. 16.). USC won three of the five events they competed in at the two meets.
- Terry won the women's 200m dash with a time of 23.25, just off her school freshman record of 23.19 set earlier this season. Angie Annelus took second with a PR of 23.32, which moved her from eighth to tied for seventh on USC's women's all-time 200m indoor list.
- Benjamin won the men's 200m with a PR of 20.55, with three Arkansas runners taking 2-4 behind him. Benjamin's time moved him into fourth on the USC men's all-time indoor 200m list.
- Kyra Constantine won the women's 400m race with a time of 53.02, edging the second-place finisher by .06 seconds.
- Ricky Morgan Jr. placed second in the men's 400m dash with a slight PR of 45.14, while Zach Shinnick took third and bettered his school freshman record with a PR of 46.32. Morgan Jr. bettered his second-place standing and Shinnick his third-place standing on the USC men's indoor 400m list.
- At Arizona, Nick Ponzio placed second with a best throw of 60-9.50 (18.53m) and Matthew Katnik took fourth with a best mark of 59-11.25 (18.27m). Ponzio's best throw was in his first attempt and Katnik's was in his last attempt.
