Year after year, USC is one of the best-represented colleges in the NFL.
As the 2017 NFL season officially gets underway, USC has 37 players on active rosters -- the third-most of any college and the most of any school in the Pac-12 -- plus five more on practice squads and five more on reserve/injured/suspended, for a total of 47.
Only Alabama and LSU have more, with 39 each. When including the 10 players who aren't on active 53-man rosters today, only LSU has more.
USC's 47 players comprise 9 offensive linemen, 8 defensive linemen, 8 defensive backs, 7 linebackers, 5 wide receivers, 4 quarterbacks, 3 tight ends and 3 running backs.
Those 47 players are spread across 26 NFL teams. The Browns, Panthers and Titans boast four Trojans each -- more than any other team.
A number of NFL coaches also have connections to USC, including Pete Carroll (Seattle Seahawks), Jack Del Rio (Oakland Raiders) and Chuck Pagano (Indianapolis Colts).
