Name: Stephen Carr
Position: RB
Class: Freshman
Size: 6-foot-0, 210 pounds
Age: 18

Game: The explosive freshman tailback will open up fan's eyes with his speed and shiftiness, but he has impressed coaches with his blocking ability and versatility. Typically, young backs arrive as talented ball carriers but ineffective pass protectors. Carr is special. He can impact the game on all three downs from day one.
Prep Career: Carr made 2016 Prep Star All-American Dream Team, Max Preps All-American first team USA Today All-California first team and more after rushing for 2,123 yards on 233 carries (9.1 avg) with 31 TDs his senior year at Summit in Fontana, Calif. He also caught 20 passes for 466 yards (23.3 avg) with 5 TDs his senior year.
USC head coach Clay Helton on Carr: "I've been really pleased by how well he's played and how mature his game is at such a young age ... There's no question in my mind based on his explosiveness, he can help this offense and he will this year."
Fun Fact: Growing up, Carr's family nicknamed him "Booda."
