In the second week of the NFL preseason, multiple USC products made their mark.
Seven Trojans took the field when the Panthers and Titans met up on Saturday. Tennessee QB Matt Cassel went 8-for-13 for 88 yards, while rookie CB Adoree' Jackson showed off his speed, with one kickoff return for 13 yards. He also took a punt return 63 yards to the house, but it was called back due to a holding penalty. USC alumni Antwaun Woods and Jurrell Casey also suited up for the Titans, while Wes Horton, and brothers-turned-teammates-again Matt and Ryan Kalil represented USC for Carolina.
There was at least one Trojan in action in every preseason game this week.
Other notable performances include Ravens RB Javorius "Buck" Allen, who had a game-high 10 carries for 40 yards, Eagles WR Nelson Agholor, who had 2 receptions for 28 yards and Rams rookie RB Justin Davis, who had 5 carries for 8 yards and 3 receptions for 20 yards.
USC's QB alumni also performed well over the weekend. Browns QB Cody Kessler was a perfect 7-for-7 for 50 yards against the Giants, while USC's most tenured NFL player, Carson Palmer, went 9-for-14 for 67 yards and a TD. Bears QB Mark Sanchez was also perfect in limited action, going 2-for-2 for 23 yards.
