In April, USC had five players selected in the 2017 NFL Draft, pushing the total to 501 all-time draftees -- more than any other school can claim.
Since the turn of the century, USC has produced 102 draft picks, and an NFL analyst recently dubbed these Trojans the third-best crop of draftees from any school in the nation.
Based on a formula that gives points to NFL players who have won MVP awards, All-Pro selections, Pro Bowl selections and more, USC ranks third behind Miami and Michigan.

USC's leading point-getter was safety Troy Polamalu, a four-time All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowler who won two super Bowls and one NFL Defensive Player of the Year award before retiring in 2015.
Panthers center Ryan Kalil was dubbed the second-best Trojan draftee since 2000. In his 10 years in Carolina, Kalil has produced two All-Pro and five Pro Bowl seasons.
Behind Kalil is fan favorite Clay Matthews III. The six-time Pro Bowl linebacker, who comes from a storied football family, won a Super Bowl with the Packers in 2011. Matthews is 7.5 sacks away from becoming the Packers' all-time leader in the category.
The NFL ranked Cowboys OT Tyron Smith USC's fourth-best draftee of the 21st Century. Smith, who was recently named the best offensive linemen in the NFL by his peers, has made four Pro Bowls and two All-Pro teams in his six-year career thus far.
Lola Tatupu rounded out the top five for USC. He earned points for three Pro Bowl selections and an All-Pro nod early in his career.
The NFL also recognized Trojans such as Marqise Lee, Robert Woods, Keith Rivers and Frostee Rucker for their impressive careers.
The 2017 NFL season kicks off on Thurs., Sept. 7, when the New England Patriots play the Kansas City Chiefs, who drafted Trojan safety Leon McQuay III and signed offensive guard Damien Mama as an unrestricted free agent in 2017.
