For his impressive performance during his ongoing rookie season, USC men's tennis freshman Brandon Holt earned ITA Southwest Region Rookie of the Year and Player to Watch honors.

Holt, who boasts a 33-8 overall record this season, is the first Trojan freshman to play consistently on Court No. 1 since 2003.

Holt, who's the second Trojan in a row to win ITA Southwest Region Rookie of the Year (Jake DeVine), is ranked No. 19 in the nation in singles this season and No. 14 in doubles with fellow freshman partner Riley Smith.
Holt and Smith racked up a 24-7 record together heading into USC's NCAA Sweet 16 matchup at Georgia on Thursday.
After the NCAA Team Tournament has ended, Holt will compete for the NCAA Singles Tournament and NCAA Doubles Tournament titles.
