Yesterday, USC women's lacrosse topped Colorado to win its second consecutive MPSF Tournament title and its 22nd straight conference matchup.

The top-seeded Trojans earned a trip straight to the semifinals, where they beat San Diego State, 18-7. That set up a rematch with Colorado in the finals -- a team USC topped, 11-5, earlier in the season.
In the senior class' last career game at McAlister Field, MPSF Player of the Year Michaela Michael and All-MPSF first teamer Gabby McMahon led the way with four goals each in the 16-11 win over the Buffs.
With four goals in the title game, Michael set a new USC and MPSF single-season scoring record (71), passing UC Davis alum Katie McMahon's mark of 69 goals, set in 2005.
Michael has set and broken USC's single-season goals record three years in a row now.
Michael, McMahon, junior goalie Gussie Johns and freshman midfielder Kaeli Huff were all named to the all-tournament team for their performances across two games.
The conference title has a bit of extra meaning for the Women of Troy because the MPSF will dissolve after this season and USC will join the Pac-12.
The win also locked in a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the Trojans, who have won 10 straight games. USC learns its seed and opponent on Sunday.
