USC women's swim graduate Anika Apostalon, who earned the Willis O'Hunter Award for the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at today's commencement ceremony, was named to the 2017 Academic All-District Women's At-Large First Team. Apostalon (pictured) managed a 3.92 cumulative GPA as a psychology major.
USC women's beach volleyball's Nicolette Martin, who graduated today with a 3.70 GPA in fine arts, also earned First Team honors.
USC also placed two male athletes on the 2017 Academic All-District At-Large First Team.
USC water polo junior Mihajlo Milicevic, a business administration major, earned First Team honors with a 3.72 GPA. Junior swimmer Pawel Furtek, a computer engineering and computer science major, boasts a 3.92 cumulative GPA.
These four Trojans are in the running for Academic All-American honors, which will be announced later this month.
