This weekend, USC beach volleyball took a unique path to its second straight Pac-12 Tournament title.
No. 1 USC steamrolled its first two opponents (Utah and ASU) before facing No. 2 UCLA in the winners bracket semifinals on Friday. The Bruins snapped USC's 62-match win streak by a tight 3-2 margin, handing USC its first-ever Pac-12 loss and sending the Trojans into the contender's bracket.
The Trojans bounced back with a sweep of Washington, earning them a rematch against UCLA in the Pac-12 title match.
USC (34-1) got revenge over its crosstown rival with a 3-2 win in the championship. It all came down to the final match, where seniors Sophie Bukovec and Allie Wheeler earned a three-set victory on Court 2.

Bukovec and Wheeler continued their clutch play by making it all the way to the finals of the Pac-12 Pairs Championship, where they faced teammates Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes. Top-seeded Claes and Hughes downed their teammates in straight sets to earn their second straight Pac-12 Pairs crown.
With two consecutive conference titles under their belts, the No. 1 Trojans are now gunning for their third straight national title. The back-to-back champs head to Gulf Shores, AL this week, where they'll kick off their NCAA conquest against No. 8 seed South Carolina.
