USC's top-ranked beach volleyball squad won five matches this weekend to extend its winning streak to 55 in a row.
On Friday, the Trojans beat Washington, 4-1, and Arizona State, 5-0, in a double header. The win over the Huskies was monumental for USC's top duo of Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes, as it represented their 100th consecutive win as a pair.
After two more wins against LMU and ASU in Manhattan Beach on Saturday, Claes and Hughes had their remarkable 103-match win streak snapped. The duo fell to St. Mary's' top team in three sets, marking their first loss since April 2, 2015.
Despite Claes and Hughes' loss, the Trojans notched a team victory to improve to 25-0 (4-0 Pac-12) on the season.
