USC men's basketball, playing its third straight game against a Top 6 team, fell to No. 4 Arizona in Tucson last night.

The Trojans came out of the gates strong, taking a 9-point lead with 6:56 to go in the first half. But the Wildcats, fueled by the 14,644 fans at McKale Center, started sinking shots to surge ahead. USC trailed 44-39 at the half.
The Trojans, led by Bennie Boatwright and Chimezie Metu, hung with the Cats for most of the second half. Boatwright had a team-high 23 points, including an 8-of-8 clip from the free throw line. Metu notched a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards. Captain Jordan McLaughlin and freshman De'Anthony Melton also reached double figures for the Trojans.
Arizona sealed the deal in the final minutes, and USC fell, 90-77, in the first game of its last regular season road trip. The Trojans shot 52.9 percent from the floor, but made six fewer threes than the Wildcats, who have now 70 of their last 71 games at home.
USC now sports a 21-7 (8-7 Pac-12) record with three regular season games remaining.
