"He came back, went to the other side of the ball, and became a star. I don't know if that's happened in USC history. He's a unique person and I think it all comes back to his leadership qualities," said USC OC Tee Martin about Harris.
As remarkable as that may be, Harris has consistently displayed the kind of perseverance and optimism it takes to make the impossible seem possible.

Harris grew up at 84th and Budlong, just down the street from campus, but the leap from South Central to USC is more than a few city blocks. With steadfast determination and a little help from a local mentor, he made the jump and now wants to help others in his community do the same.
